About Us

A Touch of Lux (ATOL) is an Interior Design firm specializing in residential interiors. We offer virtual and on-site bespoke design and decorating services to clients in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area and beyond.

Our highly personalized approach is centered around curating an environment for our clients that exudes their version of luxury. Our design process of integrating style and strategy ensures each space we design encapsulates our client’s vision.

To us, home is the ultimate luxury. And we believe that an exceptional home can be achieved when designed to inspire, empower and elevate you.

At every phase of my life (from childhood to adulthood), I always made it a priority to elevate my space to exude elegance. From the moment I was old enough to decorate my own room, my approach of “incorporating a statement” in each room was adapted. Even at a young age, I found joy in creating a space that was beautiful, organized and somewhat extravagant. 

I have always held the belief that you should make every space your own and you can do it at any budget.

A Touch of Lux was born out of my desire to help people elevate their home into an environment that brings them joy. I believe that Luxury is a state of mind and can be cultivated. You have the ability to create a life of luxury, and what better way to start than with the space you spend most of your time!

Whether you are a renter or homeowner, your space can be decadent, peaceful and functional... with the right design and design team.

"Hiring A Touch of Lux to design my new home was the best decision ever. I wanted my new home to have a look of class, sophistication, comfort, and durability even though I had not the first clue of furniture , artwork or concepts to implement.

Although I thought it would frustrate a designer that I didn’t have a clue of what I wanted , Ms. Kamara was super patient and asked probing questions about styles and colors to get an understanding of my personality and tastes, providing me with 3-5 design concepts at a time to choose from which helped me not to feel overwhelmed.

She also helped me to stay within my budget by using her designer discounts. Her Design Team was also very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I also noted that if she came to inspect and things were not to perfection she ensured that the design team updated accordingly. In addition the Team always ensured the place was swept and clean from debris after each upgrade.

I am happy to share that my house has a lot of my personality and style weaved throughout. My furniture looks amazing and is very comfortable. I highly recommend!"
